Getting Started

• Go to http//edfolio.fdu.edu/LastnameF
• F stands for first initial
• Capitalize first letter in last name first
  initial
• This is your Home Page
• This is how it appears to other viewers
• It has three elements
• Main body on the rightLinks on the top
  leftAbout on the bottom left

Editing Mode

• Look in the upper right corner
• Click on Login
• Type e-mail address furnished
• Type Password furnished
• Click Login
• Notice changes in Page
• Editors only menu across top
• Three Edit buttons

Change Site Name Tagline

• On Editors only menu select prefs
• From links on left select Appearance
• We will make two changes tonight
• Change site name from (ex) DoeJ to Doe, John
• Change tagline to something youd like it to say.
  (You can leave it as it is if you like.)
• Scroll to bottom of page and click Submit

Editors only Menu Items

• Stories Pages
• Pictures photos, clip art, any graphics
• Files what you have created and want displayed.
  You will make them available as downloads.
  (Tutorial calls these Gems)
• Prefs Preferences used only at start
• Help Takes you to web site with manuals and
  tutorials.

Tips

• When you create a Story, File, Picture, remember
  to Copy Url before you leave.
• When you edit a page dont forget to click on
  Post Changes
• Print out the Help tutorial
• Discuss on the Help pages is a dead end
