Overview

Downloading Data

• Create a directory called Ex11 on your zip disk
  Be sure there are NO spaces in folder names in
  the path to and including Ex11 or import will not
  work!
• Go to the Exercise11 web page and click on the
  data and download the exe file into Ex11 folder.
  This is a self-extracting zip.
• Navigate to the Ex11 folder and double click the
  Ex11.exe file to unzip it
• Unzip it to the Ex11 folder

Importing

• Open ArcView
• Load the Spatial Analyst Extension
• Open a view
• Click on the file menu and select import
• Select Binary Raster
• Select one of the files
• Save it to EX11 foder
• Do the same with the other Grid file

• This exercise is very close to the exercise that
  ESRI supplies with the software
• It has a problem
• You will have no real idea of what you are doing
  or supposed to be doing
• Look at the exercise (there are 2) from the
  bottom up
