- Arthritis comes from the Greek words arthron
and itis. - It means inflammation within a joint.
- There are many different forms of arthritis.
- The word arthritis is usually referred to all
rheumatic diseases.

- Fibromyalgia

- pain and ache in joints after physical work or
exercise - swelling and redness of joints begin to appear
- stiffness and loss of function in the joints

- Cartilage a tough, resilient tissue that covers

shock - Joint a junction where two bones meet
- Rheumatic disease a medical condition that
causes stiffness and pain in the joints or
muscles of the body
