JEMMS Overseas Shelf Life ConcernItems lt 12 -
24 months SL
  • Traditional Scenario
  • DLA stores wholesale material -gt Services retail
level inventory warehouse -gt End-use customer
  • DLA will not stock overseas because of
administrative lead time before end-use customer
    receives. Only support through actual
    requisitions, probably from mid-level inventory
    site.
  • JEMMS Scenario DLA items stored at retail level
inventory warehouse, with levels based on end-use
customer demand rate. We dont traditionally
place short shelf-life items overseas however,
    our customers inventory managers do.
  • Not meeting customer wait time expectations.
They have to buy around us, per our own
    instructions.
  • Battery 6140-01-032-1326 3 mos-6 mos SL.
  • Hawker Substitute, says customer
  • 6140-01-520-7112 or 6140-01-374-2243 Greater
shelf life, says DLA inventory manager.
