How does a plant grow from a seed?

Plants go through many changes as they grow.

A plant begins as a seed. Inside the seed is a
tiny new plant.

Seeds are scattered by
Planting

Wind,
Water,

And animals.

Plants need water to grow,

Light to make food,

Nutrients found in soil

And the right temperature to grow.

When the seed gets the water, nutrients and light
it needs, it begins to grow.

A sprout will form that looks like the plant it
came from. A seed from a watermelon will grow
into a watermelon plant.

As the sprout forms,
It will grow roots, a stem , leaves and flowers.

The flowers will form more seeds.
