Biography of Salvador Dali

• Salvador Dalí was a Spanish artist and one of the
  most important painters of the 20th century. He
  was born on May 11, 1904 in the town of Figueres.
  In 1916, Dalí discovered modern painting on a
  summer vacation to Cadaqués
• In 1922, Dalí moved into the Students' Residence
  in Madrid and there studied at the San Fernando
  School of Fine Arts and in 1931, Dalí painted one
  of his most famous works, The Persistence of
  Memory. The work introduced the surrealistic
  image of the soft, melting pocket watch. Dalí
  married in 1934.
• In 1936, Dalí took part in the London
  International Surrealist Exhibition, and in 1942,
  he published his autobiography, The Secret Life
  of Salvador Dalí. Later in 1949, he went to
  Catalonia and he began work on the Dalí Theatre
  and Museum in his home town of Figueres
• Her wife died on June 10, 1982 and he died of
  heart failure at Figueres on January 23, 1989 at
  the age of 84.

Biography of Joan Miró

• Joan Miró i Ferrà was born on April 20 in 1893 in
  Barcelona. He was a Catalan painter, sculptor,
  and ceramist. His work has been interpreted as
  Surrealism
• He travelled to Paris in 1920, where he developed
  the only style influenced by poets and
  surrealistic writers.
• He married in Palma de Mallorca in 1929.
• He received many prizes during his life. For
  example in1978 he received the Golden medal of
  the Generality of Catalonia
• Finally he died on December 25, 1983 in Palma de
  Mallorca at the age of 90 years

Biography of Antoni Tapies i Puig

• Antoni Tapies i Puig born in Barcelona, December
  13 in 1923. Is a Catalan Spanish painter. He is
  considered one of the great master artists of the
  20th century. Tapies is the son of a family of
  catalan politicians.
• In 1943 he had lung illness and he stayed in
  different hospitals. In 1950 he held his first
  exhibition in Barcelona. In the early 50s he
  lived in Paris, to where he has often returned.
• In 1953 he began working in mixed media this is
  considered his most original contribution to art.
• From about 1970 he began incorporating more
  substantial objects into his paintings, such as
  parts of furniture.
• Finally In 1990, the Foundation Antoni Tàpies
  opened the doors for the public
