MONSTER MANIA!!!

• We are going to write an expository paper on HOW
  TO DRAW A MONSTER.
• This should include every step and be extremely
  detailed. So much that someone that has never
  seen your monster would be able to draw something
  similar just from reading your paper.

Expository Writing

• Expository Writing is just a fancy phrase for
  things like reports of information, essays, book
  reports, biographies, and what not. An expository
  writing is meant to inform the reader!

• Content
• Organization
• Vocabulary
• Language Mechanics

Content

• Write at least 3 related , quality paragraphs
• Use Voice/Point of View
• Compose to a specific audience

Organization

• Have a clear beginning, middle, and end
• Clear transitions
• A strong closure

Vocabulary

• Use a variety of word choice to make writing
  interesting.
• Use JUICY WORDS and Art vocabulary when
  describing your monster .

Language Mechanics

• Use simple, complex, and compound sentences.
• Maintain agreement between parts of speech (verb
  tense).
• Use correct capitalization, punctuation, etc.
