What is an Intranet??
  • Intranet private communication network that uses
    Internet technologies but can only be accessed by
    authorized users
  • Ex employees, contractors, etc.

  • Promotes efficiency
  • Long-run cost savings
  • Ease of use (in theory)
  • Allows for greater interaction between employees
    and customers/ other co-workers (knowledge
    sharing)

  • Their goal is, To move to the Ford Intranet as a
    way of doing business!
  • Ford is after competitive advantage better
    quality, better speed, better cost.
  • Intranet strength is its ability to help users
    gather a wealth of information.
  • Fords intranet is ideal for capturing knowledge,
    knowing whos doing what, cutting information,
    and distributing it different ways.
