PASCALS PRINCIPLE

• The change in pressure on one part of a confined
  fluid is equal to the change in pressure on any
  other part of the confined fluid.
• A small force exerted over a small area will
  result in a large force exerted over a large
  area.
• Used in hydraulic liftsa force is exerted on a
  smaller piston providing a pressure that is
  applied, undiminished, to the larger piston
  enabling it to lift a larger weight

• Figure below shows a hydraulic weight bridge
  which works on the principle of Pascal's
  Principle.    
• What is the weight of the vegetables on the large
  piston A if the weight bridge is in equilibrium?
