Binary Race Cars

• Goal
• Students will be able to learn binary coding and
  introduce electronic components and programming.
• How to do this
• Students will race cars along track by entering
  the correct binary sequence or decimal number
  equivalence that is randomly generated.

Setup

• Track is mounted on 4x4x1/2 plywood
• Allow for easy storage
• Track will be enclosed by a Plexiglas case, that
  will be removable
• Each player will have his own independent controls

Electrical Overview

• Took apart the existing remote controls.
• Used 1.5V AA batteries as an initial test
• Micro is able to provide a maximum of 5V, which
  sufficient.
• Power dissipation on track.
• Finished programming the random number generator.
