on our shores and in our stores.

- Focus solely on improving freight movement
- Elevate the importance of freight mobility
- Projects selection every other year
5- All project applications are scored by a
technical team and a Board team - Successful applicants are interviewed on specific
questions about their projects - Board makes final determination which projects
are selected state freight share of project
costs - All projects are partnerships involving
numerous partner combinations
6- Scoring criteria created in 1997 to address both
rail and highway projects equally - Some questions favor road some favor rail
- Most of current Freight Board list is funded
- Board seeks new funds every session
- 2008 session may have a funding proposal we
want to be sure there are good freight projects
already identified
