The parent/guardian role

• check and monitor student grades and progress
  several times per week via student account
• assist student in pro-active contact when help is
  needed

  accountability to student

• Work on school 7-9 hours per day, 5 days per
  week. (full time status only)
• Partner with staff as an active, engaged and
  committed learner

• Provide academic support via Elluminate, email,
  phone conferences, and graded feedback on
  assignments/assessments

• Regular special ed teachers work closely to
  implement IEP goals

Role of the Instructional Coordinator

• Provide technical and materials support for
  students
• Work behind the scenes to provide staff support
• Assist with activities and outings
• Monitor student progress and attendance
• Facilitate success plans with struggling students

• Review transcripts and assist in course placement
• Determine eligibility of outside courses for

  friends house at 2AM, etc.) as long as deadlines
