LISTEN

• Listen to your teacher and carefully follow all
  instructions.
• Do not use shortcuts

READ

• Read your lab instructions before you start.

Perform only the experiments on which you have
been instructed.

• Never change any lab instructions
• Never handle lab equipment until your teacher
  says to begin.

BEHAVIOR

• Never talk loudly, run or play
• Always give the lab procedure ALL of your
  attention, interest and effort

WEAR SAFETY GOGGLES WHEN

• USING HEAT
• CHEMICALS
• GLASS
• ANYTIME YOUR TEACHER TELLS YOU
• Know how to use the eyewash center

Borrow from another group only if the teacher
says its okay.

BROKEN EQUIPMENT

• Report broken, damaged or missing equipment at
  once.
• Only the teacher should clean up broken glass.
• You are responsible for the equipment that you
  use. You will PAY for anything that you break or
  loose.

Keep equipment away from the edge of the tables.

Keep unnecessary materials OFF the table.

• No purses, extra books, etc.
• All book bags should be kept in your lockers.

STOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

• Keep hands and lab materials away from mouth,
  eyes and nose.
• Never eat or drink unless instructed to do so by
  the teacher.
• Tell the teacher immediately if you get hurt.

NEVER, NEVER, EVERgtgtgtgt

• Taste touch or smell chemicals unless told to by
  the teacher.
• Mix chemicals unless instructed to do so by the
  teacher.

CLEAN UP THE LAB!!!

• Every student should clean and dry his/her lab
  area at the end of each lab.
• Wipe up spills as soon as they happen.
• Do not throw trash in the sinks. Trash goes in
  the trash can!!

Electricity!!!

• Make sure that hands and table are dry to avoid
  electrical shock.

Tie back long hair and fasten loose clothing or
jewelry out of the way.

• Wear closed shoes when in the lab area.

FIRElt FIRElt FIRE!!!!!!!!!!

• Never leave a flame unattended.
• Keep clothing and hair away from the flame.
• Know where the fire extinguisher, safety shower
  and fire blanket are and how to use them.
