Whats new in 2008-09?

• Title III Accountability (AMAOs) is now handled
  by the Evaluation, Research and Analysis Unit in
  the Policy and Evaluation Division
• Title III Program and fiscal components remain in
  the Language Policy and Leadership Office
• K-1 Early Literacy test questions being
  developed, reviewed, and field tested
• Transitions to next contract

• WestEd is
• Developing test questions.
• Conducting Content Review and Bias/Sensitivity
  Review.
• Next Contractor will
• Field test Early Literacy in Spring 2009.
• Include K-1 Reading and Writing in the 2009-10
  operational test.
• Prepare report to Legislature due no later than
  January 1, 2013.
