    emotional, intellectual and stress levels
    associated with the Power Nap.

Why Did We Stop Taking Naps?
  • Ironically, when dealing with children we look at
    the disappearance of naptime as a mark of
    maturity. "Oh, no Sally Ann doesn't take a nap
    anymore. She outgrew them," a parent will say.
  • Well if you want Sally Ann to be Sally the CEO,
    she better not put that blankie away just yet!

Napping Tips
  • Practice napping. Learn to relax.
  • A healthy nap should be about 20 minutes long and
    taken in the midday, not too close to bedtime.
  • Try to nap at the same time every day, just as
    you should try to go to bed and wake at the same
    time every day.
  • Napping can be done anywhere that is comfortable.
    It is an individual choice.
  • Try soothing music with earphones, resting in a
    darkened room and/or using eye shades.
  • Certain relaxing moves such as stretching and
    deep concentrated breathing.
  • Keep a small pillow and blanket on hand if you
    desire.
