Title: Planets with Math and Science
1Planets with Math and Science
- Learning circumference, density, mass, gravity,
Greek Roman Mythological symbols, and Venn
diagrams using the planets as our guides,
2Earth gets 3rd
Earth is the 3rd planet from the Sun. We are the
perfect distance from the Sun. We are the only
planet with water we think.
3Rotations of the Planets.
Long time.
Big difference.
The Earth rotates 1 time in 23 hrs. 56 min. Pluto
rotates 1 time in 6 days 9 hrs
4Is it cold enough?
Earths average temperature is 15 degrees C But
Neptune is about 220 C . Now thats cold.
Venus has a surface temperature of 465 C. Now
thats Hot.
5How far is far?
An Astronomical Unit is the measure of distance
in space.
The distance is about 93,000,000 miles or the
distance to the Earth to the sun
6Ring around the Rosie.
A lot of planets have rings around them.
Some planets even have moons. Do you know one
planet that has a moon?
I weigh 200 pounds on earth. Did you know I would
weigh 32 pounds on our moon?
7Enjoy this unit. I will.
