• Excretion-removal of waste products from cell or
  organism.
• There are specialized structures for excretion at
  the cellular and multicellular level.
• Ex. Lysosme

Growth

• Def.- process of growing new and repairing old
  cells and tissues
• Living things grow because they produce more and
  more cells
• Cells do not enlarge they make copies by cell
  division

Irritability

• Def.-process of being able to detect, interpret
  and respond to stimuli
• Multicellular organisms have
• specialized sense organs like ears and eyes
• Specialized receptor organs like muscles and
  glands

• Phototropism-growth or movement response to light
• Geotropism- growth or movement response to the
  pull of gravity
• Hydrotropism- growth or movement response to
  water
