• There is a need for the organisation of a
  European conference on the role of voluntary
  organisations in the field of heritage. This
  conference should give innovative tools and
  inspiring examples to heritage NGOs throughout
  Europe to help them to increase the recognition
  and the quality of their work.

European Conference on Civil Society
Organisations active in the Field of Heritage

• 135 international participants and 45 local
  participants will represent the diversity of the
  European civil society for heritage
• NGOs from at least 25 European countries
• Stimulate smaller NGOs to be present
• Focus on bringing people together and on
  exchanging ideas and experiences

• A strenghtened network of civil society
  organizations active in the field of heritage
• A long term strategy on exchanging people and
  information in this European network
• A new impulse for civil society action in the
  broad field of heritage in Europe
