• Beamline X10SA is identical,
• but it has no Micro-crystal diffractometer

Where can be problems?

• IDL License
• close idl sessions, only limited number of
  sessions allowed (has not happened last year)
• e-accounts
• see Renes talk about LDAP server
• Fileserver
• see Renes and Heiners talk about BL Fileserver
• Quota in the e-account home directory on the
  fileserver exceeded (500 MB)

More Problems

• firewire cameras
• At the moment there are two regular used cameras
  at each beamline for the microscope and for an
  x-ray eye
• In case of problem reboot (server will start
  automatically)
• ABR (no problems any more since last summer)
• Tell the Local Contact to reboot the Windows PC
  (the IOC will start after slsuser login)
• Replacement PC in MX Lab (Marcel writes a Howto)
• Search in Twiki for Aerotech Controller
• Ketek, MD2, Roentec, Pilatus
• ... local Contact should know, Pikett can not
  know every detector at every beamline

More Problems

• Calls from the Control Room
• XBPM in the frontend
• at X06SA and X10SA the XBPM is used for a
  feedback and may cause problems make the
  Operator in the Control Room switch off the
  XBPM-feedback (workaround until the next working
  day)
• EPS / MIS / LAC (Equipment Protection System,
  Machine Interlock System, Local Access Control)

• Try power off and on the PLC

• If it seems that an installation is corrupt, you
  may delete the installation directory and
  re-install from CVS.
• All VME and SoftIOC boot from /work.

How to login to the beamlines

• Login to the network gateway (using your afs
  account)
• ssh afs_user_at_x06sa-gw
• Login to a console (using an e-account)
• ssh e10026_at_x06sa-cons-1
• Start the launcher
• X_X06SA_start-launcher.sh
• Test e-accounts (not for beamline user)
• X06SA e10026
• X10SA e10415
• Password is the normal root password
