10M-ATV Mission
- The primary mission of the M-ATV is to provide
protected ground mobility capable of operating in
a threat environment involving ambushes employing
the use of mines, Improvised Explosive Devices
(IEDs), Rocket Propelled Grenades (RPGs), EFPs,
and small arms fire (SAF). - The M-ATV will enhance the effectiveness of
ground combat forces (including combat, combat
support, and combat service support) with a focus
on stability operations against unconventional
enemy forces engaged in irregular warfare on a
non-linear battlefield. - Missions The M-ATV mission is for small unit
combat operations in highly restricted rural,
mountainous, and urban environments that include
mounted patrols, reconnaissance, security, convoy
protection, communications, command and control,
and combat service support. The M-ATV will carry
up to five personnel four plus a gunner. - Prime Contractor Oshkosh
