    through maps and narrative.

    your college Mission Statement. The plan is
    guided by a vision statement and defined goals.

2001 Goals
  1. Renovate or replace existing facilities to
    support current instructional needs.
  2. Create a welcoming, identifiable entrance to
    campus.
  3. Welcome students with a new One-Stop-Shop for
    Student Services.
  4. Re-zone the campus to evenly distribute parking
    and to bring the campus together into a cohesive
    campus environment.
  5. Create new pedestrian gateways to the campus from
    all major parking areas.

learning. College of San Mateo will endorse,

2006 Vision Focus
STUDENT LIFE (Academic Social) - Create a
supportive learning environment that maximizes
the synergy between instruction and student
support services. FACULTY STAFF - Recruit,
support and retain the best faculty, staff and
administrators. COMMUNITY (Outreach) -
Strengthen partnerships with businesses,
industry, other educational institutions and
increase non-matriculating usage of
facilities. PEDESTRIAN/VEHICULAR CIRCULATION
(Image/Parking/Safety/Access) - Solidify the
campus image, confine the traffic, enhance the
pedestrian areas, address the evening campus
experience and improve access to buildings.
CAMPUS PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT (Facilities) -
Support institutional needs identified through
program review for updating facilities and
equipment to enhance learning environments.
