Frames can all be encrypted
  • QSTA-1 sends a DLP Action Request frame to be
    forwarded by AP if destination is present.
  • Else AP respond with DLP Action Response with
    status Not Present
  • Or with Status Not Capable if destination is a
    Legacy station.
  • Body format DA,SA, Capability fields, ltSupported
    ratesextended capability elements gt
  • QSTA-2 responds with a DLP Action Response frame,
    to be forwarded by AP.
  • Frame Body is empty and Status Denied when
    station dont want to be engaged in the DLP
  • Else Action Status is successful and body
    format is DA,SA, Capability fields, ltSupported
    ratesextended capability elements gt
  • A non-successful response will have a Action Body
    format DA,SA

  • Following the wake-up sequence, the Probing
    mechanism is the initiators choice
  • Stations can start direct data exchange.
  • Station is assumed to have provisions for dynamic
    rate and presence status changes.
  • Or a directed Probe Response.
  • Which may contain a (to be defined) arbitrary
    length Information element
  • And optional additional Security Protocol
    messages to be defined by TGi.
  • When encryption is enabled, then the DLP Action
    frames are assumed to be encrypted.
  • Stations stay awake for a no-Activity timeout
    period following the last transmitted frame.
  • Defined in the MIB as a 2 Byte value in Time
    Units (kus).
  • Default 500 TU
