2Note Set Up
- Take white copy paper and fold like hot dog
- We are going to cut it into the shape of
Tennessee. - Make sure folded side is top open side is down
- Barely cut the left side so it looks like a curvy
river outline in blue - See teachers example
- What should we label this blue river?
- Mississippi River (use pencil-write along left
side)
3- Measure (or estimate using top half of thumb) 1
inch in from bottom right of folded page to start
a gentle diagonal cut from that bottom point to
top corner. - Try to make it look jagged like mountains-then,
draw a few in brown down the right side to
represent mountains - See teachers example
- What should we label these mountains?
- Appalachian Mountains (use pencil-write along
right side)
4Now using blue, draw in Tennessee River and
Cumberland River and label as shown below (Dont
worry about those red dots yet)
