How is the Sabbath a sign of The Atonement?
Through His servant Moses, The LORD by HIS Word
said,

Speak thou also unto the children of Israel,
saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep for it
is a sign between me and you throughout your
generations that ye may know that I am the
LORD that doth sanctify you. Ye shall keep the
sabbath therefore for it is holy unto you
every one that defileth it shall surely be put to
death for whosoever doeth any work therein,
that soul shall be cut off from among his people.
Six days may work be done but in the seventh
is the sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD
whosoever doeth any work in the sabbath day, he
shall surely be put to death (Exodus 3113-15).

Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the
sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their
generations, for a perpetual covenant. It is
a sign between me and the children of Israel for
ever for in six days the LORD made heaven and
earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was
refreshed (Exodus 3116-17).

It is The LORD by HIS Word, Who Sanctifies and
makes men Holy, by their receiving of HIS
Covenant Word of Life. The Sabbath is The Sign
that they have received HIS Word of Life, to be
Sanctified by GOD.
To confirm that men have received GODS Word of
Life, Jesus Testified and said,
The Sabbath is a Sign that Man is One In
fellowship with GOD and men
By breaking The Sign of The Sabbath, man is
not One in Life with GOD, or man

this is life eternal, that they might know thee
the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou
hast sent. I have glorified thee on the earth I
have finished the work which thou gavest me to
do. And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine
own self with the glory which I had with thee
before the world was. I have manifested thy name
unto the men which thou gavest me out of the
world thine they were, and thou gavest them me
and they have kept thy word. Now they have known
that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are
of thee (John 173-7).

For I have given unto them the words which thou
gavest me and they have received them, and
have known surely that I came out from thee, and
they have believed that thou didst send me. I
pray for them I pray not for the world, but for
them which thou hast given me for they are
thine. And all mine are thine, and thine are
mine and I am glorified in them. And for their
sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be
sanctified through the truth (John 178-10, 19).

Jesus has confirmed that HeThe Word of Life,
Whom The Father has sent has been received by
those, who received Him. For He has revealed to
them The Father in Himself, as The Life, whom
they have received.
How then does the Trinity doctrine affect The
Sabbath, as a Sign of The Atonement?
John testified of The Word, Who said,
By breaking The Sign of The Sabbath, man is
not One in Life with GOD, or man
The Sabbath is the Sign that The Man is One in
fellowship with GOD and men

I am the way, the truth, and the life no man
cometh unto the Father, but by me. If ye had
known me, ye should have known my Father also
and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen
him. (John 146, 7). And he said unto them,
The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the
sabbath Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of
the sabbath (Mark 227, 28).

That which we have seen and heard declare we
unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with
us and truly our fellowship is with the
Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ. And these
things write we unto you, that your joy may be
full. If we say that we have fellowship with
him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the
truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in
the light, we have fellowship one with another,
and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth
us from all sin. (1John 13, 4, 6, 7).

If Jesus--The Word of Life is The Way, The
Truth, and The Life, Is He three Persons,
because He is The Way to GOD, The Truth of GOD,
and The Life of GOD to men?

There is Only One Person, Who can reveal to us
The Only True GOD. And it is through Him, Whom
GOD has sent that those, who receive Him are
Sanctified by GOD. For He is also The Lord of The
Sabbath.
It is through His Atonement of being One with GOD
and man that the Trinity doctrine affects, as a
Sign.
Through Isaiah, The LORD by HIS Word said,
The Father sent HIS Word to draw men into
fellowship with HIM.
The Trinity doctrine denies The Oneness of Christ
Spirit in the flesh of men.

For the LORD spake thus to me with a strong
hand, and instructed me that I should not walk in
the way of this people, saying, Say ye not, A
confederacy, to all them to whom this people
shall say, A confederacy neither fear ye their
fear, nor be afraid. Sanctify the LORD of hosts
himself and let him be your fear, and let
him be your dread. And he shall be for a
sanctuary but for a stone of stumbling and for a
rock of offence to both the houses of Israel, for
a gin and for a snare to the inhabitants of
Jerusalem. And many among them shall stumble, and
fall, and be broken, and be snared, and be taken
(Isaiah 811-16).

And I will wait upon the LORD, that hideth his
face from the house of Jacob, and I will look for
him. Behold, I and the children whom the LORD
hath given me are for signs and for wonders in
Israel from the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth in
mount Zion. And when they shall say unto you,
Seek unto them that have familiar spirits, and
unto wizards that peep, and that mutter should
not a people seek unto their God? for the living
to the dead? To the law and to the testimony if
they speak not according to this word, it is
because there is no light in them (Isaiah
817-20).

And they shall pass through it, hardly bestead
and hungry and it shall come to pass, that when
they shall be hungry, they shall fret themselves,
and curse their king and their God, and look
upward. And they shall look unto the earth and
behold trouble and darkness, dimness of anguish
and they shall be driven to darkness (Isaiah
821, 22).

John testified that The Light and Life of men
shined into darkness, but the darkness
comprehended not The Light, because they were
naked by being in darkness and death, rather than
in The Light and Life of Christ.
If GOD is a Mystery, how could men be sanctified
by The Spirit of Truth, Whom they have not
received?

Gather unto me all the elders of your tribes,
and your officers, that I may speak these words
in their ears, and call heaven and earth to
record against them. For I know that after my
death ye will utterly corrupt yourselves, and
turn aside from the way which I have commanded
you and evil will befall you in the latter days
because ye will do evil in the sight of the LORD,
to provoke him to anger through the work of your
hands (Deuteronomy 3128, 29).

Give ear, O ye heavens, and I will speak and
hear, O earth, the words of my mouth. My doctrine
shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distil as
the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb,
and as the showers upon the grass Because I will
publish the name of the LORD ascribe ye
greatness unto our God. He is the Rock, his
work is perfect for all his ways are
judgment a God of truth and without iniquity,
just and right is he. They have corrupted
themselves, their spot is not the spot of his
children they are a perverse and crooked
generation (Deuteronomy 321-5).

Do ye thus requite the LORD, O foolish people
and unwise? is not he thy father that hath
bought thee? hath he not made thee, and
established thee? Remember the days of old,
consider the years of many generations ask thy
father, and he will shew thee thy elders, and
they will tell thee. When the most High divided
to the nations their inheritance, when he
separated the sons of Adam, he set the bounds of
the people according to the number of the
children of Israel. For the LORD'S portion is
his people Jacob is the lot of his
inheritance. (Deuteronomy 326-9).

He found him in a desert land, and in the waste
howling wilderness he led him about, he
instructed him, he kept him as the apple of his
eye. As an eagle stirreth up her nest, fluttereth
over her young, spreadeth abroad her wings,
taketh them, beareth them on her wings So the
LORD alone did lead him, and there was no
strange god with him. He made him ride on the
high places of the earth, that he might eat the
increase of the fields and he made him to suck
honey out of the rock, and oil out of the flinty
rock (Deuteronomy 3210-13).

Butter of kine, and milk of sheep, with fat of
lambs, and rams of the breed of Bashan, and
goats, with the fat of kidneys of wheat and thou
didst drink the pure blood of the grape. But
Jeshurun waxed fat, and kicked thou art waxen
fat, thou art grown thick, thou art covered with
fatness then he forsook God which made him,
and lightly esteemed the Rock of his salvation.
They provoked him to jealousy with strange
gods, with abominations provoked they him to
anger. They sacrificed unto devils, not to God
to gods whom they knew not, to new gods that
came newly up, whom your fathers feared not
(Deuteronomy 3214-17).

Of the Rock that begat thee thou art
unmindful, and hast forgotten God that formed
thee. And when the LORD saw it, he abhorred
them, because of the provoking of his sons, and
of his daughters. And he said, I will hide my
face from them, I will see what their end shall
be for they are a very froward generation,
children in whom is no faith. They have moved
me to jealousy with that which is not God they
have provoked me to anger with their vanities
and I will move them to jealousy with those
which are not a people I will provoke them to
anger with a foolish nation (Deuteronomy
3218-21).

Moses shared with the elders of Israel that after
his death, they would utterly corrupt themselves,
and turn aside from The Way, to walk against The
LORD and The Spirit of HIS Word, even in the
latter days.
Even Ellen G. White, before she died saw in her
visions of the night, that doctrines would be
brought into the church that would deny the past
experience.
In testifying of what would come, she said,
The Sabbath is a Sign of the children who keep
The Truth, of GODS. Word.
By sacrificing to a strange god, the children
have not The Truth.

Few can discern the result of entertaining the
sophistries advocated by some at this time. But
the Lord has lifted the curtain, and has shown me
the result that would follow. The spiritualistic
theories regarding the personality of God,
followed to their logical conclusion, sweep away
the whole Christian economy. They estimate as
nothing the light that Christ came from heaven to
give John to give to His people. They teach that
the scenes just before us are not of sufficient
importance to be given special attention. They
make of no effect the truth of heavenly origin,
and rob the people of God of their past
experience, giving them instead a false science.

Through Moses it is declared that The NAME of The
LORD is published, to ascribe, and to attribute
to His people greatness unto God. But many are
sacrificing unto devils, strange gods, whom they
knew not, and they are provoking The Lord to
jealousy with strange gods that are not God.

which keep the commandments of God, and have the
testimony of Jesus Christ (Revelation 1217).

reasoning together, and perceiving that he had

commandment of all? And Jesus answered him, The

Israel The Lord our God is one Lord And thou

and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and
with all thy strength this is the first

Eve, which is a symbola sign of Christ and His
church, Ellen G. White was led to write these
words, saying,

God Himself gave Adam a companion. He provided
"an help meet for him"--a helper corresponding to
him--one who was fitted to be his companion, and
who could be one with him in love and sympathy.
Eve was created from a rib taken from the side of
Adam, signifying that she was not to control him
as the head, nor to be trampled under his feet as
an inferior, but to stand by his side as an
equal, to be loved and protected by him.

A part of man, bone of his bone, and flesh of
his flesh, she was his second self showing the
close union and the affectionate attachment that
should exist in this relation. "For no man ever

self, she, who was made of his bone, and of his
flesh, to be his companion, a helper

revealed of GOD in Adam and Eve, Ellen G. White
wrote and said,

The Sovereign of the universe was not alone in
His work of beneficence. He had an associate--a
co-worker who could appreciate His purposes, and
could share His joy in giving happiness to
created beings. "In the beginning was the Word,
and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
The same was in the beginning with God." John
11, 2. Christ, the Word, the only begotten of
God, was one with the eternal Father--one in
nature, in character, in purpose--the only being
that could enter into all the counsels and
purposes of God.

"His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor,
The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The
Prince of Peace." Isaiah 96. His "goings forth
have been from of old, from everlasting." Micah
52. And the Son of God declares concerning
Himself "The Lord possessed Me in the beginning
of His way, before His works of old. I was set up
from everlasting. . . . When He appointed the
foundations of the earth then I was by Him, as
one brought up with Him and I was daily His
delight, rejoicing always before Him." Proverbs

The Word was with GOD
All things were made by Him for Him.

When GOD by HIS Son made man, He Testified of
His Rejoicing in the habitable part of his
earth and my delights were with the sons of
men (Proverbs 831).
The Word of Life was in man and with man. But by
sinning against GOD and The Word of Life, Adam
was led to separated from GOD and his own flesh
and blood--his wifeEve, and his Source of Life
in GODS Word, which is the breaking of The Law
of GOD.

Because man was locked into darkness, sin and
death against GOD and His Son, there was no hope
for man of himself to save himself, or his wife
from the cause of sin.
But The Law of GOD in The Heart of GODS Word,
which is to Love your neighbor as yourself this
opened to man a way by Grace, to live according
to GODS Law.
But man continued to sin against GODS Law. Paul

Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment
holy, and just, and good. Was then that which is
good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin,
that it might appear sin, working death in me by
that which is good that sin by the commandment
might become exceeding sinful. For we know that
the law is spiritual but I am carnal, sold under
sin. For that which I do I allow not for what I
would, that do I not but what I hate, that do I.
If then I do that which I would not, I consent
unto the law that it is good. Now then it is no
more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
(Romans 712-17).

For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,)
dwelleth no good thing for to will is present
with me but how to perform that which is good
I find not. For the good that I would I do not
but the evil which I would not, that I do. Now if
I do that I would not, it is no more I that do
it, but sin that dwelleth in me. I find then a
law, that, when I would do good, evil is present
with me. For I delight in the law of God after
the inward man But I see another law in my
members, warring against the law of my mind, and
bringing me into captivity to the law of sin
which is in my members (Romans 718-23).

O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me
from the body of this death? I thank God through
Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I
myself serve the law of God but with the flesh
the law of sin (Romans 724, 25). There is
therefore now no condemnation to them which are
in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh,
but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit
of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from
the law of sin and death. For what the law could
not do, in that it was weak through the flesh,
God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful
flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh

That the righteousness of the law might be
fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh,
but after the Spirit. For they that are after the
flesh do mind the things of the flesh but they
that are after the Spirit the things of the
Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death but
to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
Because the carnal mind is enmity against God
for it is not subject to the law of God, neither
indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh
cannot please God. But ye are not in the flesh,
but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of
God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the
Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. (Romans
84-9)

And if Christ be in you, the body is dead
because of sin but the Spirit is life because
of righteousness. But if the Spirit of him that
raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he
that raised up Christ from the dead shall also
quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that
dwelleth in you. Therefore, brethren, we are
debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the
flesh. For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall
die but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the
deeds of the body, ye shall live. For as many as
are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons
of God. For ye have not received the spirit of
bondage again to fear but ye have received the
Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father

Paul has demonstrated in his own life, that even
though one might desire to keep the Law, which is
spiritual, unless we have The Spirit of Christ
abiding in us, we are powerless to overcome the
law of sin that works within our members against
The Law of GOD. Unless we are connected to GOD,
by The Power of GODS Word, we have no power in
use to obey The Spiritual Law of GOD.

own, and his own received him not. But as many as
received him, to them gave he power to become the
sons of God, even to them that believe on his
name Which were born, not of blood, nor of the

God. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among
us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the
only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and
truth (John 110-14).

Paul has testified that we will have this
recurring struggle with sin unless we are born
again of The Spirit, Who came to earth and took
the form of mans sinful nature. GOD sent Christ
to be born of men, to give men Power to overcome
in His Spirit and Strength.

flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took
part of the same that through death he might
destroy him that had the power of death, that is,
the devil And deliver them who through fear of
death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made
like unto his brethren, that he might be a
merciful and faithful high priest in things
pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for

with GOD--The Father, Paul said of Christ, that
He also--that is, He added to Himself, and took
part of the same form of flesh and blood, that
through death He might destroy the adversary, and
deliver man from death, and bring many sons unto
glory.

Not only did Christ maintain His Oneness with The
Father in Spirit, but by being also One in the
flesh of men, as Jesus, He could fulfill The Law
of GOD in Himself, to Love GOD and to Love His
Own Spirit in the flesh of Man--Jesus, Who is His
Second Self, born of His Spirit in the members of
His Own creation of flesh and blood to be His
brethren.

By The Word of His Power, He had by Himself
purged our sins, and sat down on The Right Hand
of The Majesty on high, making The Human One with
His Divine Nature.

Jesus Christ encircles us with His Human Arm, and
Christ Jesus grasps the throne of The Infinite
with His Divine Arm, and through The Word Man
become One with GOD.

with both GOD and man.

partakers of the divine nature we may stand pure
and holy and undefiled. The Godhead was not made
human, and the human was not deified by the
blending together of the two natures. Christ did

Christ has encircled the race with His human
arm, and with His divine arm He has grasped the
throne of the Infinite and united man with God,
and earth with heaven (Child Guidance, page 525
par. 3, 4).
Christ came to stand at the head of humanity,
and to demonstrate that through the power of the
Holy Spirit it is possible for man to withstand
Satan's temptations. With his long human arm the
Saviour encircled humanity, while with His divine
arm He grasped the throne of the Infinite. . . .

In describing to His disciples the office work
of the Holy Spirit, Jesus sought to inspire them
with the joy and hope that inspired His own
heart. He rejoiced because of the abundant help
He had provided for His church. The Holy Spirit
was the highest of all gifts that He could
solicit from His Father for the exaltation of His
people. The Spirit was to be given as a
regenerating agent, and without this the
sacrifice of Christ would have been of no avail.
The power of evil had been strengthening for
centuries, and the submission of men to this
satanic captivity was amazing. (Desire of

Sin could be resisted and overcome only through
the mighty agency of the Third Person of the
Godhead, who would come with no modified energy,
but in the fullness of divine power. It is the
Spirit that makes effectual what has been wrought
out by the world's Redeemer. It is by the Spirit
that the heart is made pure. Through the Spirit
the believer becomes a partaker of the divine
nature. Christ has given His Spirit as a divine
power to overcome all hereditary and cultivated
tendencies to evil, and to impress His own
character upon His church. (Desire of Ages,

As we approach God through the virtue of the
Redeemer's merits, Christ places us close by His
side, encircling us with His human arm, while
with His divine arm He grasps the throne of the
Infinite. . . . Yes, Christ has become the medium
of prayer between man and God. He has also become
the medium of blessing between God and man. He
has united divinity with humanity. . . . (God's
Amazing Grace, Page 85 par. 4, 5).

it is written, The first man Adam was made a
living soul the last Adam was made a
quickening spirit. Howbeit that was not first
which is spiritual, but that which is natural
and afterward that which is spiritual. The first
man is of the earth, earthy the second man
is the Lord from heaven (1 Corinthians
1545-47).

Jesus said, I will pray the Father, and he
shall give you another Comforter, that he may
abide with you for ever Even the Spirit of
truth whom the world cannot receive, because it
seeth him not, neither knoweth him but ye know
him for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in

art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be
one in us that the world may believe that thou
hast sent me. And the glory which thou gavest me
I have given them that they may be one, even as
we are one I in them, and thou in me, that they
may be made perfect in one and that the world
may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved
them, as thou hast loved me. Father, I will that
they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me
where I am that they may behold my glory, which
thou hast given me for thou lovedst me before

The Fullness of The Godhead has always been The
Father and The Son together as One. But This
Oneness is manifested in the form of flesh, as
The Man Christ Jesus. He said, this is life
eternal, that they might know thee the only true
God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent (John
173).
Christ is One with GOD in Nature, and with
His Spirit in The Flesh, As Jesus, He is One in
and with men.
