  • FY 1999-2000 Competitive grant program awarded
    five grants totaling 141,000 to
    projects suggested by seven campuses.
  • FY 2000-2001 8,500 grants were awarded to each
    UNC campus (136,000 total).
  • Project areas chosen by the TLT Collaborative
    Board focused on
  • Research into instructional uses of wireless
    technologies
  • Support for digital library services
  • Professional development on course management
    systems and other software

  • Flashlight Program / TLT Roundtables
  • Ten campuses have licensed Flashlight, which
    helps institutions study and improve their uses
    of educational technology.
  • Roundtable discussions help campuses develop TLT
    strategies, make decisions, and sustain change.
  • The TLT Collaborative purchased licenses and
    conducted training for campus representatives.

  • Strategic planning initiative
  • TLT Collaborative Board will engage in a
    strategic planning process to develop a plan by
    Summer 2002 to use in making decisions for FY
    2002-03 and beyond.

  • Develop an online database of assessment
    resources including assessment tools.
  • Campuses can participate in discussion and
    support of individually-selected assessment
    projects.
