The already existing heat pump from the Geo-Cool
EU project was replaced by a new one manufactured
by HIREF, model GSH212SX, designed specifically
for the GROUND-MED project. It consists of a
reversible water to water heat pump which works
with R410A. It is reversible on both the
refrigerant and the secondary fluid (water)
sides. It comprises two brazed plate heat
exchangers and two Copeland compressors working
in tandem in order to be able to adapt the heat
pump capacity to the building energy
demand. Water temperature conditions User Side
