Manufacturing Training and Technology Center-MTTC

• 56K sq ft facility on south campus-Cleanroom,
  classrooms, labs and offices

• Supports workforce, technology, and economic
  development
• Academic, research and training programs as well
  as commercial tenants
• Collectively, MTTC tenants/users have raised over
  230M in VC funds.
• Support for Advent Solar, Emcore, Radiant
  Technology, Sandia, LANL, MEMX, AgilOptics,
  Surfect, Optomec, and Qynergy, and partnering
  with CNM

MEMs and BioMEMs manufacturing processes. Now

Center for BioMedical Engineering-CBME

• Established in late 2005 by OVPR and SOE
• 3.5 year, 550K startup investment
• Gabriel Lopez, Director
• Addresses critical education and economic
  development need through the introduction of
  bioengineering
• Goal build critical mass in bioengineering
  -related fields at UNM by forming,
  interdisciplinary research teams.
• Exciting collaborations with SOM and TriCore
  Reference Laboratories.
• Meeting fiscal goals and helping to establish BME
  degree program

BioSeparations using nanofluidics
CBMEs research emphasis includes biomaterials,
nanobiotechnology, bioanalytical microsystems
and bioenergy.
