• Rev 218 And unto the angel of the church in
  Thyatira write These things saith the Son of
  God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire,
  and his feet are like fine brass
• Rev 219 I know thy works, and charity, and
  service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy
  works and the last to be more than the first.

Rev 218-29

• Rev 220 Notwithstanding I have a few things
  against thee, because thou sufferest that woman
  Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to
  teach and to seduce my servants to commit
  fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto
  idols.
• Rev 221 And I gave her space to repent of her
  fornication and she repented not.

• Rev 222 Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and
  them that commit adultery with her into great
  tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.
• Rev 223 And I will kill her children with death
  and all the churches shall know that I am he
  which searcheth the reins and hearts and I will
  give unto every one of you according to your
  works.

• Rev 224 But unto you I say, and unto the rest in
  Thyatira, as many as have not this doctrine, and
  which have not known the depths of Satan, as they
  speak I will put upon you none other burden.
• Rev 225 But that which ye have already hold
  fast till I come.
• Rev 226 And he that overcometh, and keepeth my
  works unto the end, to him will I give power over
  the nations

• Rev 227 And he shall rule them with a rod of
  iron as the vessels of a potter shall they be
  broken to shivers even as I received of my
  Father.
• Rev 228 And I will give him the morning star.
• Rev 229 He that hath an ear, let him hear what
  the Spirit saith unto the churches.

The Complaint

• They Tolerate a false prophetess
• They Tolerate false teaching
• They Tolerate sexual immorality
• They Tolerate Idolatry

• To the compromising and corrupt
• To be cast into a bed of suffering
• To Jezebels followers the same fate
• Children would die

The Purpose of the Warning

• To honor Jesus
• To execute Justice

The Counsel to the faithful

• There will be no other burdens or demands made
  upon the faithful
• Condition of Counsel
• They must hold fast

The Promise

• To Overcomers
• They will be given authority and power over the
  nations
• They will be given the Morning Star (Jesus)

What does this all mean

• There was religious tolerance/ Is there religious
  tolerance in you I
• People young and old alike will Compromise and do
  almost anything to
• Get attention
• To be popular acceptable
• To secure their jobs
• To get promotions
• To get good grades
• To get more money
• To get bigger houses
• To live in better neighborhoods
• To get more power
• People clearly compromise what they know is right
  in order to get what they want!

What God desires from us

• Faithfulness and steadfastness
• To hold fast to the commitment we have already
  made to Christ.
• To hold fast to the spiritual growth that we have
  already achieved.
• To hold fast to the ministries we have already
  launched.

We are not to give in to the seductions of the
world

• Gal 516 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit,
  and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.
• Eph 41 I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord,
  beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation
  wherewith ye are called,
• Eph 515  So be careful how you live, not as
  fools but as those who are wise. (NLT)

• Phl 316  But we must be sure to obey the truth
  we have learned already.
• Hbr 36 But Christ as a son over his own house
  whose house are we, if we hold fast the
  confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm
  unto the end.
• Hbr 414 Seeing then that we have a great high
  priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus
  the Son of God, let us hold fast our
  profession.
• 1Jo 26  Those who say they live in God should
  live their lives as Christ did.

• Rev 33 Remember therefore how thou hast received
  and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If
  therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on
  thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what
  hour I will come upon thee.

There are promises to Overcomers

• Overcomers will rule with Christ over the nations
• Rev 204 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon
  them, and judgment was given unto them and I
  saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the
  witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and
  which had not worshipped the beast, neither his
  image, neither had received his mark upon their
  foreheads, or in their hands and they lived and
  reigned with Christ a thousand years.

The Overcomer is given the Morning Star.

• Rev 2216 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify
  unto you these things in the churches. I am the
  root and the offspring of David, and the bright
  and morning star.

Note

• Let the person who has an ear hear what the
  Spirit saith to the Church. Let him separate from
  the world. Let him never compromise become
  corrupted with the sins of the world.
• Let him never allow Jezebel, a compromising and
  corrupt person to teach in the Church.
