sinners how can people like us be saved? - 6 We are all infected and impure with sin. When
we display our righteous deeds, they are nothing

us and turned us over to our sins. (NLT)

6God Promises to Cleanse Us from defilement
7Jer 336-9
- 6 "Nevertheless, the time will come when I will
heal Jerusalem's wounds and give it prosperity
and true peace. 7 I will restore the fortunes of
Judah and Israel and rebuild their towns. 8 I
will cleanse them of their sins against me and
forgive all their sins of rebellion. 9 Then this
city will bring me joy, glory, and honor before
all the nations of the earth! The people of the
world will see all the good I do for my people,
and they will tremble with awe at the peace and
prosperity I provide for them.
8Ezek 3721-23
- I will gather the people of Israel from among the
nations. I will bring them home to their own land
from the places where they have been scattered.
22 I will unify them into one nation on the
mountains of Israel. One king will rule them all
no longer will they be divided into two nations
or into two kingdoms. 23 They will never again
pollute themselves with their idols and vile
images and rebellion, for I will save them from
their sinful backsliding. I will cleanse them.
Then they will truly be my people, and I will be
their God.
92 Corinthians 71
- Because we have these promises, dear friends, let
us cleanse ourselves from everything that can
defile our body or spirit. And let us work toward
complete holiness because we fear God.
101 John 17-9
- But if we are living in the light, as God is in
the light, then we have fellowship with each
other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses
us from all sin. - 8 If we claim we have no sin, we are only fooling
ourselves and not living in the truth. 9 But if
we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and
just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us
from all wickedness.
