XCharts and RCharts

• XChart and RChart
• In addition to the regular chart gallery types,
  two new statistical gallery types are available
  for SPC, including XChart and RChart.  An XChart
  is used if the quality of the output is measured
  in terms of a variable such as length, weight,
  temperature, and so on. RCharts are used to
  monitor the range of measurements in the sample.
    The major difference among the gallery types is
  what the vertical axis measures.
• With SPC charts that use the XChart or RChart
  Gallery, the UCL (Upper Control Limit), LCL
  (Lower Control Limit) and Mean values are
  calculated from all series and displayed.  The
  UCL and LCL are the values at /- 3-sigma on the
  chart.

Monitor Mode

• Monitor Mode is a special LabSpeed mode that can
  be setup to monitor the database for new samples.
    When a new sample is detected it can be
  automatically printed and automatically exported.
  Report printing can also work under monitor mode.
• LabSpeed's Monitor mode can be setup to
• Auto-export to multiple locations with multiple
  formats
• Auto-print to multiple printers with different
  print layouts
• Match specific sample criteria to Auto-output
• Export and print more than one sample at a time
  (for example, to save paper a report could be
  printed with two samples per page)
• Auto-output by time (e.g. export and print all
  new samples detected every 30 minutes)
• Auto-output by number of samples (e.g. wait to
  auto-export or auto-print until 10 new samples
  are detected)
• Monitor Mode can run 24 hours/day, 7 days/week

Charting

• The LabSpeed Chart Designer is a powerful drag
  drop chart creation utility with all the
  capabilities normally found in advanced,
  dedicated charting packages.  However, unlike
  generic graphing programs, the basics of the
  LabSpeed Chart Designer can be easily mastered by
  someone with little or no database experience.
   This is because LabSpeed manages all the data
  source complexities, thus making knowledge of the
  data source format or query language an
  unnecessary requirement in order to create a
  chart.  Almost any kind of chart, label, value,
  or trend can be created in two or three mouse
  clicks.

Limit Check Tables

• Limit Tables are user-tables that can be
  customized to have any number of low and high
  limits, mapped to one or more look-up values.
  Colors for pass, fail and not-checked can be
  specified for color-coding results in Tables.
  Fail flags can also be defined in order to flag
  the results for printing and exporting. Three
  types of Limit Tables can be created -- Limit
  Check Tables with low and high limits, Quality
  Check Tables with target and valid range, and
  Print Limit Tables for reporting print-limited
  results.

Chart Limits

• Limits can be applied to Charts by specifying a
  Limit Check Table or by manually assigning high
  and low limits in the Chart Designer. You can
  specify how to display the data when it is above
  the high or below the low limit as well as how to
  draw and label the line.  Multiple high and low
  limits can be applied either globally for the
  whole sample, or on a per-series basis.

Add-ins

• LabSpeed supports many different instrument types
  including OES, Spark OES, XRF and Mass
  Spectrometers, as well as hand-held analyzers and
  simple multi-function meters.  Each instrument is
  uniquely supported through an external software
  module called an "Add-In".  A laboratory could
  have several instruments that are supported by
  LabSpeed by having several installed Add-Ins.
