Gym Hockey

• It is a combination of ice hockey, field hockey
  and basketball.
• There are TWO teams with SIX players on each
  team.
• Game Starts with a FACE OFF between opposing
  centers.
• PLAYERS
• CENTERS may cross the center line and run
  anywhere except the opponents goal box.

• Guards Must stay on the defensive half of the
  court.
• Forwards Must stay on the offensive half of the
  court.
• Goalies Is able to move in the goal box, but
  must stay in this area. Is the only player who
  may pick up the ball at anytime.
• They must get rid of the ball in five seconds and
  can not throw it in the air over the center line.
• If they receive a penalty, they are the only
  position that can not be replaced by an existing
  player.
• Any other position maybe replaced by an existing
  player during a penalty.

• Catching the ball. Any player is able to catch
  the ball but they must put it back in play within
  THREE seconds.
• You may not lift the toe of your stick above your
  waist or carry your stick in the air. This will
  be a 2 min penalty.
• Unsportsmanlike or unnecessary roughness will be
  a 2 min penalty as well.
• Substitutes can occur at anytime.
• You may change centers at anytime during the
  game.
