Counters

• Counters can be used to multiply integers.
• These are counters (-) and ().
• If there are 3 sets of 3 negative counters,
  (-)(-)(-),
• (-)(-)(-) , (-)(-)(-), then there would be 9
  negative counters, or -9.

Multiplying positive and negative

• If you multiply a positive and a positive, then
  the product is a positive
• But if you multiply a positive by a negative then
  the product will result as a negative.
• And if you multiply a negative by a negative then
  the product will result in a negative.
