Title: No Salvation Except Through:
1No Salvation Except Through
2- No faith nor works without the Blood of Christ
can be of any benefit. - Faith means to believe in the Blood of Christ.
- Works are those based on the deserts of the Blood
of Christ.
3- No good works, however excellent, elevated, or
perfect they may be, can save man without the
Blood of Christ. - Therefore, the righteous people who pleased God
in old times with their good works, remained also
in Hades until the Lord Christ brought them out
after His Crucifixion.
4General Rule
- Any verses included in the Holy Bible attacking
works means works alone without the Blood of
Christ or the works of Law of the Old
Testament.e.g. Not by works of righteousness
which we have done Titus 35
5- Therefore, in case an unbeliever does good works,
the righteousness of the Law will avail him
nothing, and his good works alone without faith
will not save him.
6Why there is no salvation except through the
Blood of Christ
- Sin is disobedience to God who is unlimited, so
sin becomes unlimited, too. - So, sin cannot be forgiven except by an unlimited
propitiation. But whatever works man can do are
limited. - The only solution then for the remission of sin
was that God Himself becomes incarnate and dies,
thus His death can be an unlimited propitiation
that satisfies Gods unlimited justice.
7- This applies to the sin of Adam as well as to the
sin of anyone else because sin is sin, Gods
justice is the same, and death, the punishment of
sin, is the same in Old Testament as in the New
Testament. - There became no other means to attain salvation
except that Gods grace would seek us and it did.
8Therefore, St. Paul said
- Being justified freely by His grace through the
redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God set
forth to be propitiation by His blood, through
faith, to demonstrate His righteousness,, because
in His forbearance God had passed over the sins
that were previously committed Romans 324-25 - And also Who has saved us and called us with a
holy calling, not according to His own purpose
which was given to us 2 Timothy 19
9- Not by works of righteousness which we have
done, but according to His mercy He saved us,
through the washing of regeneration and renewing
of the Holy Spirit Titus 35 - For by grace you have been saved through faith,
and that not of yourselves it is the gift of
God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.
Ephesians 28,9
10- However, we say that the Blood of Christ is one
thing and the DESERTS of His Blood is another
thing. - The Blood of Christ is capable of the remission
of the sins of the whole world, but did the whole
world gain the remission of their sins?
Is the whole world saved because of His giving
His only-begotten Son, or are only those who
believe in Him saved?
11So, the Blood of Christ is available, ready to
save and capable of doing just that BUT
There are certain conditions that must be
fulfilled first so that a sinner might deserve to
be saved by this Blood
12Conditions of salvation through the Blood of
Christ
13- Faith
- Baptism
- Church Sacraments necessary for salvation
- Good works
14Faith Biblical References
- Whoever believes in Him should not perish but
have everlasting life John 316 - He who believes in Him is not condemned but he
who does not believe is condemned already because
he has not believed in the name of the only
begotten Son of God John 318 - But these are written that you may believe that
Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that
believing you may have life in His name John
2031
15- through this Man is preached to you the
forgiveness of sins, and by Him everyone who
believes is justified Acts 13 38-39 - if you do not believe that I am He, you will
die in your sins John 824
In order to be saved through the Blood of Christ,
you must believe. This is the first condition,
but not the only one.
16Faith should be
Living faith supported by works
Faith working through love
17Living faith supported by good works
- faith without works is dead. For as the body
without the spirit is dead, so faith without
works is dead also James 220,26 - What does it profit, my brethren, if someone
says he has faith but does not have works? Can
faith save him? James 214
18And about belief void of good works, St. James
also says
- You believe that there is one God. You do well.
Even the demons believe and tremble. James 219
19- having been justified by faith Romans 51
We have to understand the differences between
three important expressions in the Pauline
Epistles to the Romans
