  institutions or humanity.

• To pass over a single foe to charge whole
  armies.
• To deal with general run of fools, knaves,
  frauds, etc., instead of criminals.

• Horatian
• Gentle, urbane, smiling
• Aims to correct by broadly sympathetic laughter

Juvenalian

• Biting, bitter, angry satire
• Points with contempt and indignation to the
  corruption of human beings and institutions.

• Exaggeration / Hyperbole
• May picture all politicians as corrupt
• Understatement (a form of irony)
