Essential Elements
  • Do Break into groups of no more than 4-5.
  • Each group has an EE Characteristics activity
    sheet and packet of EE Characteristic cards.
    Group members should take turns reading the cards
    and as a group decide what square each belongs
    on. Discuss how you would know, what you might
    observe if those elements were present in your
    club or other activities? Name some other
    examples of EE youve observed in your club/group
    that might not be on the cards. Reference EE
    handout in binder.

Citizenship/Leadership or Communication/Arts. Est
ablish a learning goal and consider what we
learned this morning incorporating meeting the 4
Needs, How to implement the Essential Elements,
and any Risk Management considerations. Resources
in your binder include (blue) Planning a 4-H
Learning Experience, New Leader Letters, 4-H Club
Meeting Outline, RM checklist, How Kids Develop,
Troubleshooting and (white) Hot Sheets. Online
resources can also be used if accessible.
