What is CourtNet?

• A database that contains information about cases
  filed in Kentucky courts
• Info includes parties, date of original filing,
  charges, among other things

Who Can Use CourtNet?

• Two flavors of CourtNet
• KBA Members Only
• Pending cases in all 120 counties
• Any criminal justice professional (attorney and
  non-attorney alike)
• Closed Pending Cases in your DPA offices
  counties
• This Presentation covers the law enforcement side
  only KBA side is not mediated by DPA.

• Law Enforcement Side Registration
• A two-pronged process
• (1) Print out a user agreement

• sign it, and deliver hardcopy to Will
  Coy-Geeslin (CourtNet administrator for the
  agency)
• (2) Then register online at
