    but changes his mind. When she is sound asleep,
    he kisses her and leaves.

    cool with it, but both get sick. Not wanting to
    admit that they are feeling sick, Tom and Joe
    claim to be looking for a knife, but just want to
    get away from the smoking.
  • A big storm blows in.
  • The boys play Indian and smoke a peace pipe.

    boys. Even Huck gets hugs from Aunt Polly.

    on purpose onToms book. Becky sees, this ,but

    as they recite what they have learned.

    down from the ceiling and snatches Mr. Dobbins
    wig, revealing that the kids have painted his
    bald head gold.

  • It is summer and Tom joins the Cadets of
    Temperance because he loves their uniforms. He
    has to vow not to drink, smoke or swear, which he
    wants to do now more than ever. He cant take
    this so he quits.

    religion.
  • Tom gets the measles a few times, and Joe and
    Huck return to their old ways.

    has just told his side of the story. The lawyer
    calls Tom to the stand who tells about seeing
