What is a Frame?
Frames

• A basic structure.
• Used to mount sensors, motors, gears and so on
• Used to react to the forces generated by motors
  and gears.

A simple Frame

• Constructed by beams and plates.
• What are the names of those beams and plates?
• Is this frame rigid?

An Improved Frame
Wider plates

• The previous frame is weak.
• Push on opposite corners will cause the frame to
  twist leading to corner connections
• Wider plate will make the frame more rigid

Cross Braced Frame
Lift arms

• Is even stronger than the improved frame.
• Use lift arms to keep the frame from being
  pulled apart.
• Used when very strong structures are needed
