4Location
- Syracuse, New York
- Its about a five hour drive from Boston, and a
four hour drive from New York City.
5Majors Of Interest For Me
- Retail Management
- Psychology
- Fashion Design
- This was very important for me because no other
four year school had both fashion design and
psychology.
6Class Size
- When explained to me, for the required classes
you would have one lecture once a week from a
professor with about 300 kids. However for normal
classes, you would be with a Teachers Assistant
with about 20 students. - However, when your classes were more specific to
your major, there were at most 50 kids in the
class.
7Abroad Program
- Syracuse University offers one of the best abroad
programs in the country. - They are partnered with many other schools in
many other countries to order to provide students
with choices as to which country they would like
to study in.
8Hall of Languages This is the home of The
College of Arts and Sciences, and now provides
classrooms that can accommodate 2,235 students
and offices for many departments, including
English and textual studies, philosophy and
religion.
9Abroad Program (Part 2)
- This is very important for me because I want to
go abroad either in my junior or senior year to
Dublin, Ireland. - Syracuse is partnered with the University of
College Dublin. Syracuse students choose from the
same range of courses as full degree students and
are taught and examined in the same manner.
10Cons of Syracuse
- Although the school has a campus, it is not as
close to a major city as I wanted for a school. - Also, the weather tends to be much colder and
worse in the winter than that of Boston weather.
11The Carrier Dome on Syracuse Campus, which seats
about 50,000 people.
