Health and Safety
Natural Pigments artist materials do not present
any major hazard when used with care and common
sense. It should, however, be emphasized that as
with other chemical products, high standards of
general hygiene should be adhered to, both during
and after use of these products and warnings
given on individual products should be followed.
Prolonged contact with the skin and ingestion (or
swallowing) of the product should be avoided.
This includes avoiding practices such as applying
paint with the fingers or pointing brushes in the
mouth.

experience making their own Watercolor and/or
gouache paints. The kit comes with all the
materials that you need to get started, including
instructions, glass muller, grinding surface and
six traditional pigments in dry powder form to
start making your own Watercolor or gouache paint.

Pigment Sampler
Samples of six natural mineral and earth pigments
are included in this kit to introduce you to
Rublev Colours pigments. The kit includes 1 oz.
(29.5 cc) each of Alizarin Crimson, Yellow Ocher,
Raw Sienna, Burnt Sienna, Burnt Umber, and
Ultramarine Blue.

Glass Muller
Rublev Colours Glass Mullers are handmade by
glass craftsmen in England using borosilicate
laboratory glass, which is 40 harder, more heat
resistant and offers better clarity than
soda-lime glass. The bulbous handle is specially
formed to provide a comfortable grip to ease
fatigue when grinding large amounts of pigment.
The bottom of the glass muller is ground
perfectly flat and sandblasted to provide an
excellent grinding surface.
