The cool breeze, the warmth of the morning sun,
and the dewdrops hanging from the leaf tips are
messaging the onset of winters.

As the winters sneak in, we all are set for
picnics, parties, and trips to the snowy
mountains. And, who doesnt love getting cozy in
warm woolens and enjoying the bonfire?

Amidst all the fun, what we often overlook is the
chances of falling sick in this season. It is
extremely important to keep your body warm from
within to beat the cold weather and keep diseases
like cold, flu, and other infections at bay.
Ginger and Tulsi (Basil) Ginger and Tulsi are
well-known for their therapeutic traits. They
also boost your immunity.
5
Ginger keeps your body warm and improves
metabolism and blood circulation. Tulsi is a herb
that is used in Ayurveda due to its medicinal
properties. It treats headache, chest congestion,
and sore throat and is also an antiseptic and
antimicrobial agent.

So, how about some adrak and tulsi wali chai
(ginger and tulsi tea)? Enjoy the aroma and taste
of this awesome tea and keep yourself protected
from the chill.

Complex carbs or whole grains

Have you ever wondered why you feel full for
longer after having oats or millets? Its because
these are complex carbs that take longer to
digest. As your stomach has to work a little
harder to break them down for assimilation, it
generates heat during the process and keeps your
body warm.
Nature has its own unique way of healing us. How?
Well, you might have observed that a number of
root vegetables like carrots, radish, beetroot,
and turnips are available in winters. These
veggies are innately hot and rich in fiber.
