Introduction

• Can you tell where these shells might have came
  from?
• Do you think these shells might have come from
  different animals?
• Today we are going to observe shells and group
  them in some way.

Observation and Discussion

• Once you have 20 shells begin sorting them in
  different ways.
• Can you find two that look alike?
• Can you find two shells that came from different
  kinds of snails?
• Are any of the shells like the lands snails and
  water snails you observed?
• Can you find any shells that you think came from
  sea animals other than snails?
