  • Claims Department
  • Responsible for handling claims against the
    company.
  • Insurance Agents
  • Specialize in dealing with the public, and
    gathering information regarding clients.
    Responsible for selling policy
  • Underwriters
  • Select risks for insurance, and determine what
    amounts and on what terms the company will accept
    client.

New Business Procedure
  • Insurance Agent takes down customer information
  • Name, address, DOB, SSN, DLN, and make, model,
    and year of vehicle.
  • Insurance Agent gives quote
  • Customer is given several quotes based on
    collision, liability, and comprehensive
    insurance.
  • Customer completes application
  • Insurance company requires copy of title, drivers
    license, and vehicle registration.
  • Insurance Agent explains terms of coverage
  • The price of a policy is based on the customers
    exposure.
  • Coverage begins immediately
