• EUNIDA is legally established as a European
  Economic Interest Group (EEIG).
• 7 members organisations with public mandate
• 6 observers Ministries, financing agencies
• 11 countries

Definition

• A legally established group of agencies
• who work with a public service mission in their
  respective countries and under the supervision
  of their respective court of auditors
  guaranteeing financial accountability
• who execute complex development programmes in
  difficult settings, leaving policy-making to
  their clients
• who can mobilise public and private expertise in
  order to provide rapid delivery of complex aid
  programmes
• Commitment and flexibility in response to clients
  requests

Objectives

• Execute development programmes and projects in
  partnership with the European Commission and
  Member States
• Facilitate co-financing and co-ordination among
  European Donors
• Enhance exchange of information, know-how and
  best practices

• Post-war evaluation in Lebanon (2006)
• TIM project in Palestine (2006-2007)
• Strategic planning and administrative capacity
  building in Haiti (2007)
• Judiciary and police cooperation in Lebanon

• Undertaken jointly between EUNIDA members
• Institutional twinning (FIIAPP, FCI)

  (administration, regulation, police, judiciary,
