desktop and synchronize them to your handheld.
17To free up memory, You need to go to the time on
the left upper corner Delete an application you
do not want or Copy to card Then Delete the
application from the handheld
18Downloading an application from the Internet to
your hand-held is usually a three-step process
- Download the application to your desktop
computer. - Expand the application files, if necessary You
may need to unzip the download using free trial
of win zip - Transfer the appropriate files from your desktop
to your hand-held computer.
19Loading the Program to your PDA
- 1. You need to download into a file on your
computer. - I suggest two files
- One for zipped applications
- One for straight palm applications
- 2. Install the program using the desktop palm
program

- For programs requiring a database, add the
database first. - On the second hotsync, add the software.

23Organize Applications
- Similar to putting things in a folder on your
computer - Makes it easier to locate things.
- Go to your home page
- Tap on Menu.
- When the drop-down list appears, tap on Category.
- You will see a list of programs and available
folders. - Name your folder
- Use the drop-down lists to assign applications to
categories. - You can edit or change by selecting "Edit
Categories ..." from the bottom of the list of
categories. - When you're done, click the Home icon again.
- You can look in the drop down menu on the upper
right hand corner for where your applications are

- Change font
- Make note
- Make a business card
- Go to Address
- Hit New
- Add your name and pertinent information
- Then go to address edit on the left hand corner
- Hit the drop down menu at the top
- Go to select your business card.
- Beam this to your friends
25Date Book
- Enter regularly occurring appointments in your
date book - Link date book with address book
- Pick the event you want to link with phone
number. - Put your cursor on the event
- Go to left corner where date is it.
- Hit the date
- Go to Options
- Go to Phone look up
- To put a note on the event, go back to date and
hit it - Hit record and you will be able to add notes or
beam it..

- Copy and paste files to the memo pad
- A single memo holds approximately 800 words or
4KB - Keep current in your field
- Journals to go-free
- Can load word, powerpoint document into documents
to go
27Customize Buttons
- To customize a button, go to your home page
- Tap on Prefs
- Tap on the inverted triangle in the top
right-hand corner - A drop-down list will appear.
- Tap on Buttons and select the icon you want to
use by tapping on the arrow next to it. - This will give you a drop-down list of programs.
- Assign a program to the icon you've chosen.

your home page, then Assign Password. - To mark a memo or other record as private, tap
Details for that record and then tap the box
labeled private. - A check mark will appear.
- Once you have selected a password and clicked the
Hide button in Security, entries marked private
will not be accessible without a password.
