The bottlenose dolphin may be best known as
"Flipper" (as seen in the television series).
This intelligent mammal is most frequently seen
along the shores of the United States.

Habitat
  • Bottlenose dolphins are found in oceans, bays,
    lagoons, harbors, and gulfs. They like to migrate
    to warmer waters in cold seasons.

  • Dolphins eat a variety of fishes, squids, and
    crustaceans.
  • Adult bottlenose dolphins eat about 4-5 of their
    body weight in food per day!
