- Project Summary
- Incorporate calibration errors into parameter
estimation during X-ray data analysis. The main
goal of this project is to provide a standard
procedure for - (1) describing the calibration uncertainties and
- (2) incorporating the calibration uncertainties
into the data analysis via fitting software such
as Xspec, Sherpa, and BLoCXS.
Applications A new standard format for storing
the calibration uncertainties of effective areas
and its use within Sherpa Adoption of the
MCMC-based method to include calibration
uncertainties within Sherpa and
Xspec Development of compression and storage
requirements for Response Matrix uncertainties.
