Aim of the course
  • The aim of the course is to create an
    understanding for the area of logistics.
    Logistics integrates the goals of an effective
    management of material, information and product
    flows towards, through and from an organisation.
    The course deals with central logistical
    concepts, activities, functions and trade-offs in
    different application areas, with a particular
    focus on commercial logistics and relief
    logistics. Emphasis is placed on providing
    students with knowledge of a variety of
    logistical concepts and principles, and on
    illustrating the application of these in
    different settings.
  • More specifically, the aim of the course is to
  • Increase the understanding and knowledge of
    logistical concepts
  • Discuss the implementation of these concepts in
    different types of organisations
  • Give insights to models used in logistics
    management
