Title: Have I Therefore Become Your Enemy
1Have I Therefore Become Your Enemy For Telling
You The Truth? Gal. 416
I. The question proves that the children of God
should be rebuked, when needed, as well as the
alien sinner
Peter out of love for Simon had to rebuke him
harshly, Acts 81423
Paul had to rebuke Peter for his erroneous
attitude, Gal. 211-16
The apostle John mentioned by name a brother who
was in sin, 3 John 9-10
Unruly elders are not immune,
I Tim. 519-21

II. Pauls question proves that from time to
time, preaching the truth may make enemies
Elijah was pursued by the hatred of wicked queen
Jezebel, 1 Kin. 1841-193
Jeremiah encountered a similar crowd when the
Lord sent him to preach, Jer. 261-11
John the Baptist literally lost his head,
Matt. 143-12
You must not prophesy to us what is right, speak
to us pleasant words, prophesy illusions

III. There is at least two major reasons why men
have always fought against the truth
Some have been unconscious enemies of the truth
Paul is a good example of someone fighting the
truth in ignorance, Acts 269-11
1 Tim. 112-13
Others knowingly fight the truth
The Lord explained the reason for this,
John 319-21

IV. Looking at the question, we can see that the
truth must be preached even if it means to make
enemies
