Why stand for elections

• No point in talking and indulging in armchair
  criticism- be part of the community service
  activities!!
• This is my home- and my family and I have a
  permanent stake in it.We love this place!
• The demographics of PM has changed since we moved
  in, and indeed since the last elections-the
  responsibility of owner residents is even more
  now(only about 50 of residents are owners now)

• Maintenance-Obviously!!
• Safety-on roads,of homes,at sports.
• Quality of life- in light of changing
  demographics3 kinds of residents
• -long-term(owner residents)
• -medium terms (tenants)
• -short term (residents of the club rooms)

• Each of these have different and often
  conflicting requirementse.g the CLUB is a club
  for us but a hotel(profitmaking enterprise) for
  Adarsh and the residents of the roomsconflict of
  interest!!
• They impact safety,maintenance and involvement in
  the community in different ways.
• But PM belongs to each of these groups.We need to
  make this a vibrant and thriving community.

How I can make a difference

• Consultative approach with the interest of owner
  residents paramount since they have the biggest
  stake in PM-seek ideas from everyone eg weekend
  activities?
• Work with MC as a team player avoiding conflict
  at all costs- once a decision by the MC is
  adopted, then fall in line and support it
  wholeheartedly.
• Involve more residents,including tenants, in
  improving the ambience and quality of life only
  a few have valiantly soldiered on to involve
  themselves in organising the community
  activities.
